May 13 (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) claimed that after the COVID-19 epidemic, it had streamlined its distribution network, allowing it to speed up deliveries, cut costs, and minimize carbon emissions.

The online retailer claimed on Saturday that it had shortened delivery times, changed the structure of its inventory management system, and improved search functionality to display customers items nearest to them, resulting in 12% fewer touchpoints before deliveries.
